Shortly after a devastated hurricane hits the Gulf Coast, Jeremy’s father is reported missing. A few days later a package appears on the porch of the Miller Bungalow. In the package is a bottle which contains notes from Father to the members of the Miller family. The contents of the notes make it apparent that the boat Father is on may sink at any time.
Jeremy discovers a coded message in his note. It provides a clue that sends him and his sister on a search for treasure, hidden somewhere on the Miller Estate. If they can find the treasure soon enough, it will provide enough money to save the Estate from foreclosure, which is less than a week away.
Join Jeremy and Jennie as they, with the help of Mike and Brandon (read The Mystery of the Grinning Buddha), work desperately against time to find the treasure and thereby save their house and the rest of their grandfather’s estate.

Product Description

For years, Jeremy’s father has spent months at a time searching for gold just off the coast of Louisiana. His intention was to discover treasure of sufficient value to pay off the mortgage owed on his father’s estate.
Just as he discovers such a prize, a hurricane slams into the coast and he is lost at sea. Before the boat capsizes, he hurriedly writes notes to his wife, father, and son.
Jeremy discovers a hidden message in his note and embarks on a search for valuables Father has already found and hid somewhere on the estate. He invites his sister, Jennie, and their friends, Mike and Brandon (read The Mystery of the Grinning Buddha), to help.
They must first find a certain peg which could be anywhere on Grandfather Miller’s property. The peg will direct them down the path which leads to the treasure. There is a race against time, and two strangers constantly seem to get in the way.
Jeremy, who is more comfortable keeping a back seat to action, finds himself taking the lead in the search.
