I began to write in early childhood, along with drawing. I’ve had poetry published since high school, as well as several books of non-fiction. These include The Story of Old Fort Hall (1990), The Shoshone-Bannock and Old Fort Hall (1993), and editing Watershed Community: a Century of East Idaho Authors (1999).
In 2005 I founded Knight-Bond Publishing, which has produced both The Sun, the Moon, and the Stars: Poetry and Photography and Truth in Absence: Growing up in Hailey. Both books are in their second edition with Ebooks and Music.
Currently I am putting the finishing touches on two new books – The Garden: Chronicles of a Child Artist and Handcarts West in 1856: the Martin Company Tragedy – to be published in 2009. My education includes a B.A. in Art with a minor in English, and masters degrees in Fine Art, Anthropology, and Political Science from Idaho State University, Pocatello. I have taught English in secondary schools and creative writing classes in community programs.
